Every year we go to St. Simons Island in Georgia for our family beach trip and each night we go to the Village to see the ocean and sit under these two beautiful Live Oaks. We bring books and enjoy the ocean, playground and all of the people playing and enjoying these two beautiful Oak trees. Ironically, we've often wondered what these trees would say since they were here to see the English and Spanish fight over St. Simons Island in 1747. They were here when the first lighthouse was built. They were here when the U.S. troops occupied the island during the Civil War. They are here now for all of the island tourists. They are amazing and we enjoy them every year.
