When I was about 5, we were living in the suburbs with dirt
roads and not alot of trees. So my parents bought a Crimson Maple
tree with what little money they had and planted it smack in the
middle of our lawn. It looked so tiny. But 50 years later it is
this huge majestic tree. Beautiful.
My dad used to spend hours picking up the maple keys by the
bucket. Even into his late 70s he could be found on his knees
filling his old white bucket. My parents have recently left the
house, I am hoping the new owners love the tree too. And even with
my father's dementia he still remembers and talks about picking up
those maple keys!
