My family and I moved about a year ago into our new neighbourhood. I hated the idea of moving, but because I was the youngest in my family, I didn't have a choice. When it was finally moving day, a couple of workers came to our new home to drop off grass, and a tree to put in our front yard. The tree was fairly small and looked beautiful. After we finally settled into our home, the tree became one of my favourite parts of my neighbourhood. I liked sitting underneath the tree, with my book, during the summer. One day my family decided to "fix" my front yard and put concrete where my grass and tree used to be! I was very furious because everyone knew I loved that tree and didn't want concrete to be put there. My mom told me the tree would be fine, we would cut it up for wood. I hated the idea of my favourite tree being made into useless wood that my family would never use so I made a plan.
My friends and I moved the tree into our backyard! It was a lot of digging and since we're all young it was really hard, but I knew the end result would be worth it 100%! We showed my parents and they agreed that it was a good idea that they didn't get rid of the tree. Ever since that day the tree has been the best thing that has happened to me since I've moved! I think we should respect trees for all that they provide us and nature itself, it's a shame to see people thinking of them as a nuisance and whenever I hear someone say they got a paper cut, I jokingly bug them and say "it's the trees last revenge on you!".
